cliff_muses_tiemens
    English Poet (1822 - 1888)

Each week students will be asked to experience a variety of cultural activities.  They will be given a poem, an art piece and a musical composition, and asked to make connections between the three.

Students will not only listen, watch and read; they will need to take notes concerning the authors of these experiences.  Relationships between schools of art, musical composers and their nationalities, and poets commenting on events of thier day will be discussed in depth.

Students will also be required to minimally research a country every week.  These current day countries will be discussed concerning their links to the sixth grade ancient cultures curriculum.

Lastly, each week will have a set of core spelling words students will be required to practice, test, and correctly spell thereafter.
