| Mrs. Hanson's Class |  | Greetings! My name is Marta Hanson and I am thrilled to be
teaching fifth grade at Groveland. I am proud to be part of this vibrant community where the message “Hearts, Hands, and Minds on Learning” takes center stage.
I live here in St. Paulwith my husband Dan, our two sons Sam and Ben, and our cat Lars. I have taught in St. Paul for 12 years. I have a B.A. in History and Russian & East European Studies from the University of Michigan and an M.A. in Education from the University of Minnesota.
In my spare time I enjoy playing with my boys, gardening, dancing ballet, reading, yoga, and playing the piano. I try to take Eleanor Roosevelt’s advice to do something that scares me once a day!
I ‘m looking forward to a wonderful year in fifth grade!
