Groveland Park Elementary Band Rules Groveland Park Band Rules     1.  All students must:         •  bring all music and instrument to every lesson         •  attend every lesson, even if they do not have their instrument.         •  practice a minimum of 100 minutes/Week, 5 days 20 minutes.  Regular         daily practice is better than all in one day.  Students should document this         on a practice log.         •  have their assignment prepared for their lesson.  Students should be able         to complete 1-2 pages (from method book or supplied packet)plus spend             time on music/solo’s/duet’s for concert’s during each lesson.     2.  If a student misbehaves during full band or lessons, they will get two             warnings and then be sent back to class.  Students must observe proper             rehearsal/ concert etiquette to prepare for performances and be respectful to         the students in their lesson and those in the lesson before them.       3.  No playing in the halls.  Please be respectful and quiet in the hallways         coming to and leaving band.  Please close the door to the band room as you     enter or exit to minimize distracting other classes.     4.  If you miss a lesson a note will be sent home to be signed by your                 parent/guardian(s).                                                 Consequences Each student will start the year with 3 chances and a warning period.  When a rule is not followed they will lose a chance.  When they reach the warning period I will call their parent/guardian.  They will also be asked to not attend full band but they must still attend their lesson and complete assigned work.  They may return to full band if they are following the rules and are caught up with their work.
